BUENOS
AIRES
Some think they are walking along the streets of
Paris. Other are marveled by the perfect symbiosis between its outstanding
cultural offer and the Latin American chaos. The choice of restaurants
and cafés dazzles the most refined palates. And the porteños
have something which makes them unique characters –lovable
at times and even impossible to understand at others.
Nobody knows for sure why Buenos Aires is called “la Reina
del Plata" (the Queen of the River Plate), but there is one
inevitable piece of evidence: first-time visitors promise they will
come back and frequent visitors are enchanted by this city, which
is as intense as a metropolis, but with captivating corners, impatiently
awaiting to be discovered.
The frantic pace of Buenos Aires’s financial district, Microcentro,
is contrasted by the quiet streets of Puerto Madero soothing through
its unparalleled views of the city and the River Plate. Palermo’s
trendiness is supplemented by the history of San Telmo and La Boca,
while the refined style of Recoleta takes us to a luxurious and
sophisticated city. Each neighborhood offers its magic charm in
Buenos Aires –the city which everyone talks about and no one
forgets. |
